Outrage

Outrage is a Japanese crime drama film directed by Takeshi Kitano, who also stars in the film as Otomo, a veteran yakuza gangster. The film takes place in Tokyo and follows a power struggle between various yakuza clans, with Otomo caught in the middle. After his boss Ikemoto (Jun Kunimura) is tasked by the Grand Yakuza leader Sekiuchi (Soichiro Kitamura) to bring the rival Murase-gumi gang in line, Ikemoto passes the task on to Otomo. However, things quickly spiral out of control as Otomo and his crew engage in a series of violent confrontations with the Murase gang, leading to a bloody and brutal turf war. The film explores themes of loyalty, betrayal, and the corrupting influence of power, and features a critically-acclaimed performance by Kitano.
