In a quest for their ideal home, a young couple stumbles upon a peculiar suburban development filled with identical houses. They are greeted by an odd real estate agent who leads them to house number nine, but soon discover that escaping this eerie neighborhood is impossible. As they find themselves trapped in an unsettling loop, the couple's reality bends and distorts, forcing them to face something far more terrifying than mere confinement. When they are presented with a child and instructed to raise it for their freedom, the stakes grow even higher.
