Shell Game

1975, Película, 1h 10min

A reformed con artist assembles his crew to expose a charity embezzler through an elaborate sting operation. Television's budget answer to The Sting, produced as a pilot for a series that never materialised. John Davidson leads a cast of TV familiar faces through a scheme involving horse racing, bogus gold mines, and more baroque complications than the seventy-one-minute runtime can accommodate. Freeze frames marking commercial breaks disrupt the flow.
